Insights from IMCREMEX 2024: Promoting Africa's Blue Economy and Maritime Security

Our Director, Temitope Adeyele, and Maritime Operations Assistant, Bolade Segun, participated in the 5th International Maritime Conference/Regional Maritime Exercise (IMCREMEX) 2024. This esteemed event, which took place from May 29 to June 1, 2024, at Naval Dockyard Limited in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, gathered maritime experts and stakeholders from around the globe.

The conference theme, "Promoting the Blue Economy in Africa through International Cooperation on Maritime Security," drove discussions on sustainable maritime practices, regional cooperation, and the economic potential of Africa's maritime sector.

Throughout the conference, our representatives engaged in insightful sessions covering topics such as maritime security strategies, technological advancements in maritime operations, environmental conservation in marine ecosystems, and capacity-building initiatives for coastal communities.

IMCREMEX 2024 also commemorated the 68th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy, showcasing its contributions to maritime security, regional stability, and the promotion of the blue economy in Africa.

Our participation in this prestigious event provided valuable insights, fostered collaborations, and contributed to our ongoing commitment to excellence in maritime operations and security.
